A fender-bender freed the VW emblem from the front grille of my Volkswagen Jetta— a new one comes with my new grille, so now I have to figure out what to do with the old emblem! I love my Volkswagen and would love to make a handy object or fun decoration out of the old emblem— help me enter the world of upcycling DIY and give me a suggestion for how to use it!
So here’s how the game is played:
There are multiple ways to win! I will be giving away a custom-dyed skein of yarn in colors of your choice to the winner of the drawing. You can also win 25% off discount codes to my Etsy shop if you submit one of my favorite ideas!
Describe your ideas in a comment on this post. This gives you one entry into the drawing. (Please note that each individual may only receive one entry for their ideas, regardless of how many ideas you submit! But please, suggest away— the more ideas, the merrier)
Repost this blog entry on your blog, facebook, a forum, etc— post a link to each site you share, in the comments section. Each share will give you another entry into the drawing!
My favorite couple of ideas (as well as the blog or Etsy shop of their imagineer) will get featured in a future blogpost (yay free promotion)! These favorites will also receive a 25% off discount code for any one item in my Etsy shop!
We’ll keep this going until I’ve received at least 30 ideas! At that point, it’s drawing time!
The emblem is about five or six inches across, two or three inches deep, and has a slightly convex surface. (Please note that convex means it bulges outwards slightly and isn’t flat! It isn’t possible to place flat bottomed objects on top of it, say a potted plant, without them tipping or sliding off)!
